Zafer KURTUL

Mr Kurtul obtained an undergraduate degree in Finance from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration and an MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Finance. After working in executive roles at Citibank, BNP-Ak-Dresdner Bank and Societe Generale, Mr Kurtul joined Akbank as an EVP in 1998. He served at the same bank as CEO from 2000 to 2009 and as the Board Vice Chairman until 2010. He worked as the CEO and Board Member of Sabancı Holding between 2010 – 2017. He was the Chairman of the Board of various subsidiary companies of Sabancı Holding in the same period. He was appointed as a Board Member of ABank in 2017. Mr Kurtul is a member of CFA Institute and is a CFA charterholder.
